The Ben Brown remix of Derek Howell – A Bit Less This Time is out today on Polytechnic Records.  The original track is a great progressive house tune crafted by Derek, who is putting out a slew of  some great original music lately. Very happy to work with Derek & Polytechnic on this one.

Ben Brown Remix of The Funky Bastard “Koalas for Breakfast”

The original “Koalas For Breakfast” is an awesome piece of chill house music.. Great guitar work and composition under a nice 4/4 beat.. LOVE this track.

With this remix I wanted to add a little bit  more energy but keep the groove and atmosphere of the original. This remix is a little more uptempo, with a shortened up the bassline for some more drive and added a bit more active percussion and fx to make it purr a litttle more on the dancefloor.  This remix was created exclusively for the HiDef 001 Mix Compilation on Audio Logic

Ben Brown - Chinstroke/151 EP

Here’s some info the new Ben Brown track, titled “Chinstroke”. The track is out on March 10, 2009 on Audio Logic Recordings. Some people have asked where I got the name for this one… a good friend of mine and fellow dj/producer use the term to describe people that go out to clubs and stroke their chins, analyzing and critiquing music instead of enjoying it and having a good time. I’ll admit though I’m guilty of being “chinstroker” occassionally… it comes with the territory.

Chinstroke showcases Audio Logic’s distinctive progressive sound. The track starts with slamming percussion that builds with an airy tension. Darren Emerson GU 036 Bogota

A collaboration between myself and the guys behind Nightshade Music, Nosmo and Kris B has just been licensed to Darren Emerson’s new mix compilation for the Global Underground series. The Mazi Remix is the track that made the cut. The mix CD, recorded live in Bogota, is coming out on March 2nd, 2009.
