Good news.. just confirmed that two Ben Brown productions will be featured on the Ibiza Trance House 2009 Mix Compilation, Distributed by More Music, Germany’s division of Universal Music. The CD will feature Ben Brown – Vega ( samples available soon) and The Funky Bastard – Koalas For Breakfast (Ben Brown Remix) (listen here).  It’s always a pleasure to get tunes signed to compilations!

Ibiza Trance House 2009 will be distributed exclusively in Germany, Austria, and other select countries throughout Europe.

Last year’s Ibiza Trance House 2008 also featured two of my productions: Ben Brown – Calm Down (Jerome Isma-Ae Remix) and Row – Colossus (Ben Brown Remix),  which are both currently available on iTunes and at Beatport. Other artist on the double disc included Armin Van Buuren, Deadmau5, Adam K & Soha, and two tracks by my boy Christopher Manik. 2008′s CD is currently available as an import… check it out on amazon.de … better brush up on your Deutsch.

Here’s another remix, this time of Franz Ferdinand’s “Ulysses”.  Meant to give this one a little more electro + vocal mix but it turned out to be a stripped down big room progressive track (don’t ask me how), hence the “Stadium Mix” title

Recently licensed to Global Underground 36, the “La Cocina” saga continues as Nightshade Music has put out another group of remixes to go with a group of already stellar tracks from the first pack. Included in this round is the Mazi Dubstramental, Andrew K‘s Remix and Dub, and three diffrerent remixes from Liluca,  K Loud, Banx, and Bedlam Knights.

Chicago native Ben Brown has quickly built a name for himself with his punchy big room electro influenced progressive house style. A thicker, more heavy bass accompanies washy dirty effected synths while the acid sits in the background. The new bass, similar to what Prydz may do, is creative and sounds fresh in how he works all the other parts. The synths become twisted and hypnotic in a big room style. And a massive peak towards the end that never seems to end makes this essential for any quality DJ.
