Ibiza Trance House 2009 to feature 2 Ben Brown Tra...
Good news.. just confirmed that two Ben Brown productions will be featured on the Ibiza Trance House 2009 Mix Compilation, Distributed by More Music, Germany’s division of Universal Music. The CD will feature Ben Brown – Vega ( samples available soon) and The Funky Bastard – Koalas For Breakfast (Ben Brown Remix) (listen here). It’s always a pleasure to get tunes signed to compilations!
Ibiza Trance House 2009 will be distributed exclusively in Germany, Austria, and other select countries throughout Europe.
Last year’s Ibiza Trance House 2008 also featured two of my productions: Ben Brown – Calm Down (Jerome Isma-Ae Remix) and Row – Colossus (Ben Brown Remix), which are both currently available on iTunes and at Beatport. Other artist on the double disc included Armin Van Buuren, Deadmau5, Adam K & Soha, and two tracks by my boy Christopher Manik. 2008’s CD is currently available as an import… check it out on amazon.de … better brush up on your Deutsch.

The original “Koalas For Breakfast” is an awesome piece of chill house music.. Great guitar work and composition under a nice 4/4 beat.. LOVE this track.
With this remix I wanted to add a little bit more energy but keep the groove and atmosphere of the original. This remix is a little more uptempo, with a shortened up the bassline for some more drive and added a bit more active percussion and fx to make it purr a litttle more on the dancefloor. This remix was created exclusively for the HiDef 001 Mix Compilation on Audio Logic

Here’s another remix, this time of Franz Ferdinand’s “Ulysses”. Meant to give this one a little more electro + vocal mix but it turned out to be a stripped down big room progressive track (don’t ask me how), hence the “Stadium Mix” title

Kanye West released remix parts for Love Lockdown in Fall 0f 2008. I picked up the remix stems up and came up with this little jam. I’d say its a groovey prog houser, but genres lines can be tricky.. definitely a little more mainstream appeal than most of my other work.
